about the project: Sweet Flare Eclair Shop is a french-style bakery with hypothetical plans to open in Athens, Greece. In 2023, I had the privilege of studying abroad in Athens, in which I took many art and design classes, one of which I was required to take someone else's business idea (an eclair shop,) and completely develop its brand identity. This client wanted her eclair shop to look like a Parisian bakery, given the fact that eclairs are a french dessert. I decided to take inspiration from from Victorian style typography and graphic ornaments for its logo and brand identity. When designing the store-front, I took the liberty of incorporating Art Nouveau elements, as I felt it would make it more visually interesting and thought it worked thematically (as Art Nouveau is said to have started in France in the late 1800's.)
